As I run, I gasp as I realise that Lionpup is going to Highstones. Racing over the moorland, I can begin to see the pup's tail, bobbing up and down as he ran up over the pebbly path.

Slowly, so slowly, I open my eyes. Expecting to feel the smooth stone floor of Highstones, I am surprised to feel soft moorland under my paws. Jerking awake, I stand up, and look around my den, confusion washing over me like a blanket.

Lionpup jerked to his paws, the image of his dream so vivid in his mind. "Riversong!" He screeched, "Riversong, I had a dream! My mother visted me! I need you to tell me what it means!" He raced down the spongy moorland landscape, digging his claws into the ground in his haste to talk to the medicine wolf.

I hear Lionpup screech my name, and I hurry out of the den. "Lionpup!" I call, "What is it?"

He almost crashed into her in his haste, skidding to a halt moments before he rammed into her paws. Dust flew out from over him and he bent over, gasping for breath. "I-I had a dream, Arn't only medicine wolves and leaders supposed to have dreams? Tell me what it means, Riversong!" His voice ended in a wail; the dream of his mother had been enough to distress the young pup.

Seeing the distressed pup, I woof gently "Come with my Lionpup, and I shall tell you what your dream means" and I begin to herd him back to my den.

He padded in front of her, his head bent and his tail tip dragging in the dust. As he padding into the Medicine Wolf den, the sharp tang of herbs and musty scent of old moss filled his nose, soothing him in the slightest bit. He sat down in a shallow dip in the floor, turning to face the medicine wolf. "M-my mother, HowlingMoon, visted me. She told me to believe in Starpack. I already do believe in them? Riversong, do you think she doubts me?" He bent his head at his last words, flicking his tail across the floor.

I sit down and smile gently at the pup. "I do not think she doubts you Lionpup. I think she was telling you to stay strong in your faith, and to remember that StarPack will be with you wherever you are." I regain some of my usual manner and woof briskly "Now, come and tell me what these herbs are for." And with that, I turn and pad towards my pile of herbs..

He felt his heart soar at her words. Maybe his mother Dinnt doubt him after all. He shook his clouded head. What was he thinking? Of course his mother dinnt doubt him! He pranced after Riversong, his spirits high and eyes gleaming. One question still echoed in his mind, Will I become a medicine wolf? His mother had refused to answer; You must let your destiny unfold for yourself, dear one. Had been her answer instead. "I've still got pleanty of time," He muttered under his breath. He knew he could fight quite well if he wanted, or maybe even hunt in that matter. But...He found dealing with herbs and Starpack a larger, but more rewarding job. "Coming Riversong!" He yipped, leaping after her.

I smile at the pup's enthusiasm, and ask "Can you tell me what I would use Burdock Root for?"

"Burdock is used to heal rat bites," He answered promptly, circling her with his tail high. "Its good for any infection, but mainly rat bite." This time he had full confidence in his words, knowing that Starpack was with him and that they would not let him down.

I let a grin break open on my face, and I nod. "That is exactly right Lionpup! Now can you tell me what cobwebs are used for?"

"Almost everything!" He burst out, unable to hide his happiness at his knowledge about medicine remidies. "Mostly to stop the bleeding of wounds," He added, "But also to hold things in place, and to help stop infection."

"Congratulations!" I grin "That's right!" I give Lionpup a sly smile. "Do you want me to test you on your herbs?"

"You can try." He boasted, turning to back towards the medicine den. He leapt inside and stuck one paw into the crevice where the herbs were kept. After pulling a multitude out, he patted them towards Riversong and yipped, "Test me!"

I look down at the herbs. I pull out a plant that had large leaves and small, bell-shaped white flowers "What is this and what is it used for?" I ask.

"Comfry" He answered, his tone full of seriousness. "Its roots are used to mend broken bones and soothe wounds."

"Marigold." He yipped, licking one paw causually. "The leaves/petals can be chewed to a pulp and applied to wounds."
(It may take a minute for me to reply, I have to feed my 16 rabbits. xD My sister breeds them but shes away)

Aprilpup pranced towards the freshkill pile, suddenly very eager on the smells. She could see that other warriors ate it and it smelled scrumptious but she wondered if she was allowed to have some. She peeked around to see if anybody was looking and then stumbled over to the pile.

"Very good" I nod approvingly. I search through the pile for a harder herb. "This is Celandine. Can you tell me what it is used for?"
