First off I'm a n00b who posted a story and didn't update it with new chapters like I was supposed to >.< but I like this story and it does give a bit of Rosestar's history
2. I'm not Mysty don't you dare it is not as good as Fade, 'cause that is purdy obvious, just kidding, but I love feedback to make growth and blah, blah, blah
4. I'm not going for the realism award so in my stories expect fake traits
This story is about Blame a male who as he grows up is harened by hardship to the point where he expects himself to go to the darkforest, aswell as passing this trait on to his children. Here goes nothing:
Don't worry, I'll protect you...
Chapter 1
Rayne the dominant female whined, “There's something wrong with him, his paws are almost as big as his ears!” Blood the dominant male and her mate sat by her side stroking his tail down her side comforting her as the two pups, one Black one White nursed. “He's perfectly fine, he just has big paws to fill,” Blood sighed bending down to rub his muzzle against Rayne's cheek then sitting back up to watch over the two newest pups grunt and squeal as they pressed their small, yet furry bodies against his mate. “Well, we have to name them,” Rayne sighed stress leaving her body now that Blood had been so comforting. “The black one is male, the white one is female, right?” Blood asked, hoping to get his pups genders right. “Yes,” Rayne yawned from a long days work. Harmonious yawns filled the air. “We'll just have to wait and see,” Blood said scratching his neck before laying his head on his paws. After listening to various snores he stood pad padded to the other side of his mate where he then lay next to two pups. He heard whines, whimpers, and cries for food and carefully bringing the two closer to his chest he let out a promise, “Don't worry, I'll protect you.”

The male pup now a couple months old charged around the stone floor of the den. His black-and-blue-grayish pelt shining with melting snowflakes, his bright blue eyes glimmering with amusement. “Aw, come on sister it's fun!” The two pups had been ice skating only using their developing pads and a pile of ice once a puddle that had frozen over with the cold temperatures of winter. “No, I will not! It is to cold, and my pads already hurt thinking about it!” the small white pup protested sitting down with a 'humph'. “Fine, but your missing out!” he called making a giant leap onto the frozen pool little knowing his mother and father had just made their way through the snow to check up on them and to make sure they we safe. Their murmurs echoed off the wall of the stone cave. “We have to name them” Blood whispered in the females ear. Rayne didn't care, her pup was doing something that could have a 'very small possibility of being dangerous.' “Stop that right now mister!” she called seeing the male pup flying across the ice for the umpteenth time. She shuffled her paws at how 'mister' had come out. “I agree, we do need to name them.” she said bending to the side whispering in Blood's ear never taking her eyes off her two pups. “You heard mother, brother! You stop right now or I'll...I'll...I'll get father!” the white pup yipped standing up in a pose as though she was about to chew her brother's ear off. “Ha ha sis, look at your breath, it looks like a cloud is floating out!” the black pup said spinning around on the ice. The white pup narrowed her eyes, “Fine don't blame me when you fall and whine while father barks his head off!” The dominant pair shared a glance, then a smile. “Daughter, know for your delicate yet elegant clouds coming from your muzzle, you shall be know as Breath.” Bleed barked proud looking down at his daughter who wagged her tail yipping appreciatively at her new name. “Son, from this day forward you shall be know for your poor choice of disobeying you sister,” Raire said playfully, hoping the young pup would not take it seriously. “You shall be known as Blame!” Hoping to hear a shrill howl of excitement, she was surprised to see Blame sit and title his head.
A few yearlings had over heard the 'naming ceremony' and giggled and laughed. “Look at Dog-breath!” they yelled as Breath whimpered. Blame lunged off the ice and stood in front of Breath.
“Your name is beautiful, Breath, don't worry I'll protect you.

Chapter 2
The two yearlings charged through the high grass their paws almost never toughing the ground. Barks of excitement filled the air. Two wolves sat on a tall rock looking below at the two newest yearlings run, excited for their first hunt. "Can you believe it Breath?" Blame barked his tounge flapping in the wind muffling his voice a bit. "Breath gave a glnce to her over joyed brother, "Extatic, now close your mouth, you'll be tasting flies for months." she grumbled thinking to herself, --Of cource he would be happy, he doesn't have a white coat and perfectly white teeth to stain red with elk blood.-- She two stumbled onto a pile of rocks with an opening big enough for one wolf at a time. Blame, forgetting the 'ladies' first' rule dashed righ through into a clearing with elk grazing like no tomorrow.
"What about that one?"
"No, it looks strong"
"That one is weak, what about it?"
"It could be sick an infect the whole pack!"
Blame ignored his sister and targeted the biggest bull he could find and charged. He lunged biting into its neck pulling, tugging, and gnawing waiting for his sister to help. Breath dashed leaping onto its back nipping. Blame let go just in time to see the herd after them, anger in their eyes. "Bu-Bu-Brrreath?" he staggered sitting dumfounded on the ground watching furious cow's charging at his sister. He jumped back! The hgooves of the elk almost boxing him in the nose. he landed on his back with an. "Oof!"
Breath stood on the back of the bull his pelt held firmly in her jaws she opened her eyes to shee the cows surrounding them beating her with their hooves. Blame wanted to help but he knew it was useless. He whined seeing a cloud of dirt arising from the ground, the herd going away. He padded to his sister, her white coat covered in blood and dust. "Breath?" she sighed nudging her lifeless body. He collaped laying his limp body over hers letting out a weak yelp, "Dont worry, I'll protect you."
